Who are we?

Our website is available at the following address: https://chronobiotron.neuro.unistra.fr.

Comments

When you leave a comment on our site, we collect the information entered in the comment form, as well as your IP address and browser user agent, to facilitate the detection of unwanted comments.

An anonymized string, created from your email address (also called a hash), may be transmitted to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture will be publicly visible next to your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the site, we recommend avoiding uploading images containing embedded GPS location data (EXIF). Visitors to the website can extract and download this location data from images.

Cookies

When you leave a comment on our site, you have the option to save your name, email address, and website in cookies. These cookies are for your convenience so that you do not have to enter these details again when you leave another comment later on. These cookies expire after one year.

When you visit our login page, a temporary cookie is set to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain any personal data and is automatically deleted when you close your browser.

When you log in, we set several cookies to save your login information and screen display preferences. The lifespan of a login cookie is two days, and the lifespan of a screen options cookie is one year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login cookie will be kept for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookie will be removed.

When you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is saved in your browser. This cookie contains no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after one day.

Content embedded from other sites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other sites behaves in the same way as if the visitor were visiting the other site.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking tools, and track your interactions with embedded content if you have an account connected to their website.

Use and transmission of your personal data

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the password reset email.

Storage durations of your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are kept indefinitely. This allows us to recognize and automatically approve any subsequent comments instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except for their username). Site administrators can also see and modify this information.

Your rights over your data

If you have an account or have left comments on the site, you can ask to receive a file containing all the personal data we hold about you, including that which you have provided to us. You can also request the deletion of your personal data. This does not include data that we are obliged to retain for administrative, legal or security purposes.

Transfer of your data

Visitor comments can be checked using an automated service for detecting undesirable comments.
